Rosemary Elizabeth, Arboledas, Estado de México 1972 |
In 1972 I had been married to Rosemary Elizabeth Healey, born in Brockville, Ontario and raised in New Dublin, for four years.
Now in January 9th, 2022 (I am backtracking and putting blogs in days I missed in 2021) I look at this photograph which I took in Arboledas, Estado de México in a nearby park near our new brick house and think of something that should be very important. But my memory is hazy. Did I ever tell her I loved her? Did she ever use those magic words in return? Perhaps we thought we were cool then and to say, “I love you.” was deemed as cursi (corny).
Now what I would do to have her facing me and for me to say to her what I have felt all these years, “I love you Rosemary.”
