The Infallibility of My Friend John Lekich

In Sunday's blog on Halloween I posted this about pictures I took back for the Georgia Straight when we did original Halloween covers and pulled all the stops.
Now, I have two friends who really like women. They may
ignore the written content of my blogs but they always react (most positively)
to any that may include beautiful women. These friends are jazz player
(saxophone and flute) Gavin Walker and journalist/novelist John Lekich.
We all know that the Pope is infallible but hazy exactly on the details. He (or she we have been told) is infallible when he sits on the chair of St. Peter (the papal throne) and makes pronouncements on church doctrine (no less and particularly no more).
Mr. Lekich wrote this in Facebook today:
These are
wonderful. For some strange reason, a few of the shots remind me of the TV
series Deadwood. Even stranger - unlike most of your work - I don't seem to
recall their debut.
It would seem to me that Mr. Lekich must have been under
the weather on October 28, 1999 when the Straight came out and he must have
still been under it until November 4 when the issue was replaced by a new one.
Or if not the case then Lekich is sometimes infallible in spotting photographs
of women.
My subject for the cover was (and is) the beautiful
Argentine Linda Lorenzo. The cover and inside pictures as seen here were to
illustrate an article by Steve Newton.
