Clematis 'Diamantina' 29 June 2023

One of the most complex gardening stuff is not about the all the types of roses from antiquity to now.

The most complex fact is knowing when to prune a clematis. In some cases if you prune them at the wrong time they will not bloom the next year.

Because of this complexity I never bothered to figure this out and I left it to my more intelligent Rosemary to deal with the problem.

Now with her gone, there are all these clematis in the garden and the labels identifying them have been lost. She would know what to do.

I don’t.

Here is a lovely seed head of an unknown clematis of hers. 

I checked again and found a label. It is Clematis 'Diamantina'
