For many years my friend illustrator/designer/artist Ian Bateson stumped me by constantly telling me, "It's been done before."

Some years later a retort finally came to me and I told him (shouting it at him), "But I have not yet done it."

Rick McGinnis a Toronto-based photographer emailed me a few days ago when he saw this blog that contained the colour picture you see above.

Couldn't help but chuckle when I saw one of your posts from NYC - it seems our eyes were drawn to the same thing. (And why not - it's a pretty striking image.)
