My clothes have holes. Many are worn out. I refuse to buy new clothes as I believe that with my time remaining on the planet it would be a waste of my money.
There may be a few exceptions. I went to Walmart a few days ago to buy the Chinese made slippers that I have been wearing for years. I wrote about them here (link below).
A Door - there is one I will never open
My daughters worry that I might fall and break something. They point out that I go up and down the stairs from my ground floor to my bedroom. I need to have shoes that are safe and sturdy. Because it is a fine Canadian custom that one does not wear street shoes I use my Chinese made Joeys. My last pair had a torn sole and they had stretched so that they fall off. My new ones ($25) are no longer called 18 Joey. They have changed sex to 28 Josephine!
Because I may be going to Mexico City in November it will be a delight to remove my shoes on the flight and take Gary Marchant’s advice (see link above) and wear my Josephines.
