Rosa 'Benjamin Britten' 23 December 2019 |
A week ago I left my scanner to be repaired by Mark Dowding
of Windgod Media Services on #202 – 8572 Fraser St. Dowding has that kind of
gentle smile that immediately makes you feel that your equipment is in good
hands.
My Epson Perfection V700 Photo scanner has one flaw. After
three or four years, the solvents from the plastic innards evaporate and coat
the inside of the scanner glass. Because I scan more than slides and negatives
(plants and hard objects) the glass had scratches. Dowding changed the glass
just in time for me to scan some transparencies that I have now printed to give
as Christmas gifts tomorrow at our Nochebuena dinner. I was also able to get a
magnificent extra.
There is no way any of my roses will bloom until next
spring. But this scan of the English
Rose, Rosa ‘Benjamin Britten’ shows
how beautiful roses can be even when not fully open.
Life in my oficina without a scanner has made me feel naked.
I am now cozy in my clothes.
Thank you Dowding and a Merry Christmas to you.
