Summer Solstice At Mountain View Cemetery

Marina Hasselberg & Pancho |
I am not one of those persons (I was never a flower child)
to celebrate either the equinoxes or the solstices. But I am going to make it
an exception this coming Sunday the 21st. I am going to attend at
least one (there are two one, at 7pm and the other at 9pm and they run for 23
minutes) of the performances sponsored by the Little Chamber Music Series That Could at the Mountain View Cemetery on 41st Avenue and Fraser.
Among the musicians that are playing I know three of them Adrian
Verdejo guitar, Marina Hasselberg cello and Mark Haney double bass. The
vocalist is, Sarah Wheeler.
Verdejo, a guitarist from Mexico (his father is my rheumatologist) could be seen as vaguely funereal in his handsomeness. And Marina Hasselberg is bound to be dressed in black and will surely wear fishnets.
There will be dancers too. And the price of admission, is a
fave of this 21st century. It is free.
