Red Glass Christmas Ornaments No More
Tuesday, December 10, 2019
I wrote about the melancholy theme of ornaments of Christmases past here.
This year we bought our smallest tree yet. I had the not so novel idea of using only small and red glass ornaments to decorate the tree. Alas! Someone who previously has banned swings, teater-totters and slides from school playgrounds has pronounced the glass ornaments of yore to be potential hazzards for active cats and dogs. So these lovely and wonderfully delicate spheres of glass and air have been replaced by plastic ones that have texture and adornment.
Fortunately we do have a few of the ornaments left and since our tree is small we will have enough.
