Ivan Klima 21 March 1995

On March 21 I had the pleasure of taking a portrait and having tea with Czechoslovakian author Ivan Klima. We talked about our interest in the drink. I was charmed.

In this 21^st century there is a big cloud in the digital sky that has a list of all the people who were born or died in today’s date. There are people with their finger ready on their keyboard’s enter button as soon as Keith Richards leaves our planet. Social media has become a swarm of ambulance chasers.

To make it worse now people are declared dead falsely to the point that a few weeks ago the White House had to come forward to state that The President was alive.

Luckily I get a daily delivered New York Times on paper and I could not but notice that Ivan Klima died on October 4^th. Here is the link (above) to the most interesting obituary in the NYTimes. Because I have a subscription I can give away 10 pay-wall free articles.
