In what may be a little obsession I have been scanning photographs I took of my friend Tarren who competed with my Rosemary in being luminous, elegant and graceful. Both shared legs as beautiful as those of my mother. And I must state here that I inherited my mother’s legs.
Part of this obsession involves me placing two negatives (b+w or colour) on top of each other and then scanning them. The best results happen when the negatives (they can be slides) are from a same session and particularly when my camera was on a tripod.\A few photographers tell me I can do this with layers in Photoshop. I just opt for the more mechanical one of removing the negatives from their plastic sheets. I sort of combine the advances of the last century with those of this one.
I have a fully repaired Epson P700 printer that is working well so I am printing many of my scanner negative sandwiches without mayonnaise.
