In my waning years as a photographer I have two willing subjects. One is the availability of the plants in my garden to be scanned. The other one is all about former willing subjects either separated by distance or by death.
What I do is to go to my extensive files and find negatives (or slides) that I can sandwich (two) in my scanner. I have used this technique now for about 3 years and I call it “scanner negative sandwiches without mayonnaise”.
This technique brings new ways of looking at my photographs. The possibilities are endless.
