Emanuela Vozza Shaves the Barber

Photograph Emanuela Vozza

With this blog I will now be three shy of 5000 of them.

I believe that these pictures not only look back at my past (Rosemary and I in Venice in 2019) but also towards our future which will be full of excitement and surprises (of the pleasant kind) if our health persists.

In a month Doctor Simon Warner will remove a cataract from my left eye and correct a tad so that I will see better. Sometime by the end of the year my right knee will be replaced.

One of the singular ingredients of this excitement is what I call my travel photo studio. I wrote about it here.

Last year I took this portable studio to Venice and to Buenos Aires. The idea that I could photograph my friend, period cellist Claudio Ronco and his wife Emanuela, also a period cellist, with a light by a canal I still find short of incredible.

And most neat is that Emanuela took some pictures of the operation and thus the barber has been well shaved.

What new citities, or old ones, with new friends, or old ones will face my studio? The answer has to be wonderful.
