Dead On

In this continuing project of thinning out my files I get upset when I remember some picture  \may have taken and then I cannot find it.

This one is different. I have no memory of having taken the photograph. Since my names is there to credit it, I know I took it at the nice bookstore on 4th Avenue called The Mystery Merchant. I was assigned by what I thought was a boring publication, Quill & Quire. I was proven wrong as I was given ample opportunity to do as I pleased. And this I did.

For another Quill & Quire job I photographed the local poet Michael Turner in the best room of the seedy Marble Arch Hotel. I arranged for a lovely woman to pose behind him on the bed. I received a phone call from the editor lauding me for the fact for the first time in his memory he had received many calls from irate readers complaining of the sexist photograph.

As for the photograph of Noah Stewart I have nothing under Stewart, Mystery Merchant, Quill & Quire or bookstores. It is lost.
