Hostas are well known for their variegation and at my so-so hosta count I would ascertain that there may be at least 3000 of them. They are usually advertised in nurseries and catalogues as “this one is different”. For the average person most look the same. I am often asked, “Alex I have this variegated hosta at home. Would you know what it is? “ Not a chance.
This is perhaps why all-green hostas are ignored. I have quite a few of them and 'Hirao Majesty’ is outside the door of our Kits duplex. It has large and shiny green leaves. But the most amazing feature of this graceful and elegant plant is the beauty of its flowers.
