From here to there may be more pleasant than from there
to here the effort in the transformation can be fun. This sort of thing I can
only do with a print and not from the negative. The print happens to be sepia
toned. I scan it. I then go to RGB (I have a 13 year-old Photoshop) and
drastically go to levels towards lighter. I do that a couple of times. I then
darken it in LAB and go back to RGB and repeat the operation. Somewhere I bring
down the saturation a tad.
